Patsy Kapitain was inspired to paint the beautiful landscapes of the
Bancroft, Algonquin and Ottawa Valley regions on her frequent travels
to these areas. She also developed her painting skills studying models
and still life in a studio environment while residing and working in
Toronto.

Patsy paints depictions of landscape, animal life and portaiture in a
variety of impressionist and abstract styles, including some realism,
but all demonstrating the use of vibrant and alluring colours. She is
excited by the play of light and shadow, and delights in painting
images that evoke pleasure and that enable the viewer to expand their
observance of the natural world.
Now, as a permanent resident of the Hastings Highlands, she is
constantly energized by the views of the Monteagle valley from her
hilltop farm.
